QUESTIONS
If we didn't answer your question, please ask it in the #retreat channel in Circle!
Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor. Please land prior to 12 Noon on Thursday, September 29. The Mago Center is 2.5 hours away. We will have bus transport ready for you. Please select a return flight after 4:50 PM on Sunday, October 2. If that doesn't work for those of you flying greater distances, schedule a flight after 12 pm. The first shuttle will leave at 7:00 am on Sunday. The shuttle is 2.5 hours to the airport. We will be asking for your flight details to aid in coordination.
If you arrive later than 12 Noon on Thursday or leave before 12:00 PM on Sunday, we cannot guarantee transportation to the Mago Center. Please communicate with us your needs and we'll do our best to help!
Comfortable, relaxed clothing. We wouldn’t be opposed to you wearing anything that sparkles and rocks the Unicorn colors. (Team photo anyone?) Pack with layers as the temperatures will fluctuate. In theory, a pool will be renovated when we get there, so pack a swimsuit! Bring shoes that are easy to get on and off as we are asked to remove them before entering meeting rooms. Bring light snacks if you need a little boost between meals. A yoga mat is a plus as well, unless you would like to rent one from the facility.
No meat is allowed on the premises. (Which admittedly is a little confusing because their meals are sometimes pescetarian and isn’t fish meat?😜 ) Alcohol or other substances (marijuana, cigarettes) are also not allowed. As much as we love a good cocktail, we will be plenty of entertainment for each other!
Let us know in your registration. We will submit that information to the Mago Center.
The food we will be enjoying is farm to table. Their chef prepares pescatarian and vegetarian menus from local farms with herbs selected from their onsite healing garden to deliver delicious, nutrient-rich meals that nourish and strengthen our bodies. Dinner is included on the first day of arrival. All three meals are provided during overnight stays. On the day of checkout, breakfast and lunch are included.
It is available at the Welcome Center Lounge, which is open 24 hours. Everywhere else does not have Wi-Fi. Sometimes we must disconnect to reconnect.
Your registration is non-refundable. You will need to find another Unicorn to take your spot and coordinate payment between yourselves directly. Thanks for understanding!
We have two options - an individual room or a shared room. Each has a private bathroom. The rooms are in casitas (mini homes). The shared rooms have two-full size beds. The shared lodging option is $50 less per night.
Post in the #retreat channel of the community group to find someone to bunk with! Ideally you find your bunk buddy before registering so we know who is staying with who. If you need help getting matched with someone, email us at info@senworks.org.
Here are driving directions. Please be aware that if using a GPS, it may lead you to Forest Service Road 525, which passes through the private property of our neighbors. Do NOT use 525.
Input 700 N. Bill Gray Road, Cottonwood, AZ 86326 on your GPS to get directions to the correct turn-off and take Bill Gray Road (761). The retreat center is located about 10.8 miles from 700 N Bill Gray Road. It is about a 30-minute drive up the dirt road.
Finding places in the dark sucks. Check-in is at 4:00 pm. This location is a 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix.
Heck yes you can! This is professional development (with more fun packed in than we’ll let the IRS know about).
Yep! Must be a member of the cool kids club to hang with this wolf pack.
Masks are optional. We will be updating this question once we have additional information from the venue.
We're getting an answer on that now!
Will We See You There?
Hope so! This is going to be an event that goes down in grant writing unicorn history.
Yes, our friend, this is your lodging!
#peacefulgoals.
Here's a lil snippet of the 173 acre site. Unreal.
Outdoor movement under a setting desert sun? Yes please.
A waterfall! How much trouble would we get in swimming in it?
We're still fully enjoying summer vibes but these fall views are 🤩 amirite?
What We Want For You
We want you leaving the retreat feeling...
Connected. Connected to your purpose. Connected to each other. Connected to the present.
Refreshed. You escaped the commotion. Bathed in the gentle desert sun. Lavished in that highly overdue self-care time for you.
Grounded in Clarity. Action plan in hand, you know the exact steps you’ll be taking next. You took the time to truly visualize (and document) your boldest ambitions.
Celebrated. You showed up for yourself and allowed yourself to be pampered in an immersive experience.
Confident. You returned home with your shoulders back and head high. You have stepped into the next best version of yourself. |
