In Grant Funding Won By Members Since 2020

You’re the heartbeat of your organization’s mission.

But let’s be honest — the pulse is runnin’ a little high lately.

You’re juggling impossible deadlines, managing messy grant portals, and maaaaaybe even dealing with a well-meaning boss who rewrites your best work until it’s something worse.

You LOVE your mission, but you’re tired of feeling like a one-person funding factory with no power — and even less time.

woman in furry pink coat winking

You have a lot of responsibilities, but little authority.

(That’s a recipe for frustration and exhaustion, FYI.)

You’re responsible for the revenue, BUT you don’t have a seat at the strategy table, and feel unheard.

You’re expected to win big, BUT you’re given zero systems to manage the chaos.

You want to stay and grow, BUT the burnout is starting to feel inevitable.

real talk

It doesn’t have to be a grind.

You can stop cranking out applications, step off the hamster wheel, and start actually liking your job. A lot.

We give you the step-by-step training, comprehensive templates, and assertive (but polite) project management skills you need to do your best work — and live your best life.

You’ll be respected. Listened to. Valued. And bringing in record-breaking funding for your organization. (Then we’ll have a chat with you about asking for a raise.)

two women talking

Is it hard work?

Definitely.

But you know what else is hard?
Nagging Nancy about the info you need. Again.

We’re not here to promise a fast path to Easy Street, where work is always stress-free and you magically don’t need coffee anymore.

Rather, here to give you the most comprehensive system for grant writing and strategic funding that puts MBA programs and Masters degrees to shame.

Oh, and you’ll get certified along the way.

The Most Thorough Grant Training on the Internet

Grant Foundations
No 101, 201, or 301 here. This is the entire enchilada of what you need to know to find grants, write them, win ’em, and manage them — all without crying in the shower or needing daily happy hours to vent.
Fundamentals
1
Grant Preparation
Build your grant literacy from day 1. We translate the wild world of grants into a clear, actionable roadmap, making sure you’re 100% grant-ready before you ever put pen to paper.
2
Grant Research
Master the art of finding grants that match you perfectly. Once you know how to find the right grants, you’ll never waste your (or your client’s) time again. Nobody teaches this like we do.
3
Grant Writing
Write to win — without the stress. From budgets to proposals, we give you the exact framework to land grant funding without losing your mind. Oh, and our proprietary AI-assisted workflow makes you faster (and way happier).
4
Grant Management
Most grant management training is a hot mess. Not ours. We bring in key tech partners and the #1 expert in this space to give you the competitive edge. When you understand the full lifecycle of grants — from preparation to grant closeout — you’ll already be at the tippy top of the pack.

Increasing Your Odds of Winning

Grant Preparation
Get you grounded in the rules of the grant writing game, lead your team to more wins, and never have to beg for a document again.
Step One
1
Grant Literacy
Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro, master the core tenets of grant writing to navigate the complex world of nonprofits with complete confidence.
2
Grant Readiness
Eliminate administrative bottlenecks & easily get the info you need from colleagues — even when you aren’t their boss. After this, your progress won’t have to wait on someone else’s to-do list.
3
AI for Grant Writers
Learn to integrate AI into your work easily, safely and ethically — without ever sounding like ChatGPT wrote everything for you. Since AI became mainstream in 2022, we’ve analyzed what it means for grants writers, and how it can give you the competitive edge.

Finding Grants Worth Your Time

Grant Research
When your research is this good, you can stop the endless search & scramble, write fewer grants, and win way more.
Step Two
1
Grant Research Environment & Tools
Pinpoint the perfect grant database to stop leaving thousands — if not millions — of dollars on the table. We’re advocates of Instrumentl (best in the biz), and are here to make sure you have the right gear.
2
3-Stage Grant Filter
Narrow hundreds of prospects down to the top pursuits & know exactly where to invest your invaluable energy. The minute details of this make all the difference, like how to reliably get in front of invite-only funders.
3
Your Funding Strategy
Turn your funder research into a Funding Strategy that stacks and sequences your grants for maximum impact. This strategic roadmap is the key to keep your wins compounding over time.
4
Grant Calendaring
Transform your strategy into a living, breathing resource that keeps your entire organization on track, and on time. From bootstrap spreadsheets to advanced systems, we’ll show you how to build a calendar that makes deadline panic a thing of the past.

Leveraging Our Peer-Proven Process

Grant Writing
The way it’s always been done is NOT the best way to do it. (Surprise!) That’s why we deliver the freshest, hot-off-the-press training out there for grant writers.
Step Three
1
Preparation
Set yourself up for success by building a solid grant skeleton and seamless kick-off schedule from day one. This prep work makes the actual writing a total breeze.
2
Budget
You probably like writing more than numbers, but navigating budgets is a must-have skill. You’ll have a solid grasp on everything from straightforward foundation budgets to complex federal applications.
3
Supporting Materials
Don’t let a missing document sink a great proposal. We talk you through all the technical mechanics of letters of support, logic models, and more. We even show you the best strategies for getting those pesky resolutions signed — without the usual mid-afternoon headache.
4
The Writing!
Start speaking the funder’s exact language, easily sidestep the mistakes everyone else is making, and master the three essential writing styles that create a winning narrative. We’re willing to bet you’ll also have a lot of fun.

Learning From the World’s Best

Grant Management
Chances are, you’ll get roped into some level of grant reporting. That’s why we’ve brought in Rachel Werner — the literal #1 expert on grant management — to help you master these lessons. (You can let out that sigh of relief now.)
THE PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE
1
Fundamentals
Get a clear, high-level understanding of the full grant lifecycle — and why managing the win is just as vital as securing it. See how great management leads to easier renewals, and builds long-term trust with your funders
2
Your Role
You’re a grant writer, not an accountant — so let’s define exactly where your responsibilities end & the finance team’s begin. Learn how to protect your organization (and stress levels) by ensuring you never accidentally commit to impossible promises in your proposals.
3
The Law
Understand the gold standard of grant regulations (CFR 200) to ensure your organization stays compliant and audit-ready at all times. These federal-level best practices make you a pro at managing any grant, whether it’s from a small family foundation or a massive government agency.
3
Systems
Ditch the messy folders and scattered spreadsheets for a streamlined system that tracks your grants from start to finish. We’ve partnered with Instrumentl to show you how to manage the entire lifecycle in one simple place.

Mastering The Mom Life: Vicki's Journey To Financial Stability Through Grant Writing

Balancing the demands of motherhood while striving for a fulfilling career can leave you feeling stretched thin. It's the daily reality for many stay-at-home moms looking for that perfect work-life balance. 🏠 In today's spotlight, we dive into the world of moms who've taken the plunge into a lucrative yet flexible career as grant writers.

Watch The Story

Hey, we see you.

You got into this work to make a marked difference.

But right now? The daily grind is making your passion feel more like personal & professional exhaustion.

You’re being asked to pull miracles out of a hat for deadlines that are due next week. (We wouldn’t wish that on our worst enemy.)

You’re basically working an unpaid second shift on evenings and weekends — just to keep the mission afloat.

And between high-stakes writing and grant management that’s a hot mess, you’re wondering if you can hack it.

We’ve designed this In-House Grant Writer Track specifically to overhaul the operations, expectations, and performance of organizations and their staff.

There’s a better way to do this work. We’re here to give you the exact tools you need to build a career that loves you back.

Obsessed with your success,

Meredith and Alex signatures
Meredith and Alex

You don’t have to do this work alone.

And you deserve to be supported in your job.
That includes standardized processes, organized workflows, and proven procedures that get the hard-to-reach results your boss expects from you.

If you’re burned out from high responsibilities, low authority, and zero training, we’ll show you how to take back control of your career.

There’s no one-size-fits-all stuff around here. This In-House Grant Writer Track is a dedicated, specialized space for the challenges, road blocks, and questions that come up in this profession.

Never again wonder if there’s a better way to win grants. We’ve got you.

Answers you might need before pitching this to your boss.

Absolutely. That’s exactly why this track exists!

Grant writers working inside organizations find us because they’re looking for repeatable frameworks to go after more funding. They jump in — and stay — because of the community and coaching.

Whether you were thrown into this role and told to “figure it out,” or you’ve been doing this for years and want a new approach to old ways, we’ve got you covered.

Every time we’ve taught an experienced grant writer our methods, they have been enamored with how much more they learned. Most in-house grant writers don’t have formal training, or had to teach themselves along the way — which works well enough at the start. But hands-on trial and error isn’t what you need to reach the next level of your career.

Even if you’re a CFRE professional, you’ll find community while filling in any foundational gaps in your grant writing skills. (Everyone has them, and it’s normal.) There’s no shame in wanting more knowledge around grant prospecting, thinking like a funder, building systems, or leveraging AI workflows to win more funding.

We attract people in the field who know the grant landscape is ever-shifting, and that there’s always room for improvement.

Regardless of your experience, if you’re a lifelong learner, you’re in the right place.

We see you. We know you’ve got a ton on your plate.

We built this program for busy professionals with full schedules. If you can carve out five hours a week — total — for coursework and implementing what you learn, you’ll keep a steady pace.

Also remember that life has its seasons. Some seasons you’ll dig in deep, put in extra hours, and push to get where you need to be. Other seasons you rest, recover, and let pieces fall into place.

We recommend asking your employer if you can study during working hours. This makes you better at the job they’re paying you to do, and most bosses love that conversation.

Absolutely. We strongly suggest it, actually.

After all, employers want their team to be more efficient, competent, and confident in a role that directly brings in funding.

We know a ton of time — not by your design — gets wasted going after the wrong grants. That’s hours, dollars, and energy down the drain.

So even if this training saves you from applying for just one grant the organization isn’t eligible for? They’ve already made back their investment.

And that’s before we even talk about the new funding opportunities you’ll unearth, the 600+ professionals you can tap into when you have a niche question, or the coaching you get right before you want to hit submit on a proposal.

So yes, yes, yes. Ask your employer to pay for the training.

Nervous about having that conversation? We’ve got a Boss Buy-In Toolkit to make it easy.

Bummer. It’s rare, but it happens.

Here’s what we need you to know. The one thing you can always bet on is yourself. Upleveling your skills isn’t for your employer. It’s for your future. Your employer just gets the byproduct of your decision to invest in you.

Our in-house folks who choose to move forward even after their employers say no? They put in the work, and something incredible happens.

They create better grant strategies. They find more opportunities. They build systems that upgrade the whole team. They set boundaries so work doesn’t follow them home after 5pm.

Then their employer says, “Wait a minute. Is this because of that training we turned down?”

Every. Single. Time.

If you’re serious about having control over your future, you don’t need to wait for someone else to give you the green light.

That pre-submit gut check? We get it. And yes — gladly.

Your coaching calls are designed to support you while you’re in the thick of it. You get to tap into coaches who have won anywhere from $8-$22 million each in funding and found their niche. Bring your questions, bring your drafts, bring your “does this even make sense?” moments. That’s what we’re here for.

Outside of coaching calls, we see students contracting fellow grant writers in the community as grant reviewers who catch mistakes before hitting submit.

Even if you’re pushing your organization forward with a department of one, we’re here to make sure you’re NOT in this alone.

We promise to keep your secret.

Because two things can be true. You can bring huge value to your organization, and still be preparing an exit.

We’ll help you design a path that supports your overall goal — whatever that looks like.

We have grant writers who level up skills at their current job while quietly putting out feelers for the next big adventure. We help grant writers negotiate a higher salary, and sometimes that means working at a different organization. And we’ve got grant writers who want to flex their skills outside of work. If you’re freelance-curious, we have a side hustle course you can add on to your training.

Whatever your goal, the first step is having a plan. We’re that plan.

We get this question a lot — and it tells us everything we need to know about you. Grant writers are some of the most ethical, heart-led people out there.

Our advice? What you do outside of your 9-5 is your business.

That said, there’s a way to be considerate. If you work for an urban housing development nonprofit, maybe stay away from clients in the same niche and don’t directly compete for the same funds. Makes sense, right?

We show our grant writers how to build a 12-month roadmap for funding that works across any industry — so you can pick and choose whichever niche resonates outside of work.

It should go without saying, but we’re not lawyers. Please do your own research. Some organizations might have you sign a non-compete clause, and it’s always smart to double check the terms.

Absolutely.

We have a rigorous curriculum, exam, and real-world project you have to pass in both grant research and grant writing. You’ll earn dual certification along the way.

And if you want to go further? Our curriculum is approved by the CFRE for up to 92 Continuing Education Credits. That’s the highest credential in the fundraising space — and we offer more credits than any other program out there.

Enrolling in this program is based on an annual membership. As long as you’re a member, we’ve got you covered.

As a member, you retain access to templates, curriculum, community, and coaching in the course. To ensure you’re prepared for any situation, we highly encourage you to download the templates and workbooks as you move through the curriculum.

Still have questions? Get in touch.
